Sorry Pistons fans, the Detroit Pistons got more than disappointed in the NBA Draft Lottery last night. If you didn’t catch the lotto, this is how things went down. Somehow the Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a 1.7% chance of winning the Lottery and receiving the first pick, managed to hop all the way up to snag it. Unfortunately for the Detroit Pistons, if any team behind them, that including Cleveland, hopped in front of them, they would lose their pick to the Hornets (Via the Ben Gordon trade). Dumars, although gone, still haunts us with this loss of a pick. The Pistons losing the pick is a huge blow, cause now they sit without a 1st round draft pick in one of the most talented drafts of all time. Gosh, this really sucks, and I cant but help to be frustrated with the NBA who has now shown how “rigged” this league really is. 3 out of the past 4 years the Cavaliers have been “awarded” the first pick in the draft. Yes 3 out of the past four years. That is no typo. This is absolute blasphemy; I hereby am taking a stand against the NBA. Why Cleveland? The Pistons had a 82.4% chance of keeping their pick, but somehow the 1.7% odds of Cleveland beat that out. Please explain NBA? Luck? Don’t give me those lies. We all know luck had noting to do with it. Sorry for the rant, I am just frustrated, but Van Gundy said it right and that is the fact we still have the 38th pick and all you can do is go from there. The Pistons should hopefully have a tough, grueling summer ahead.
